I have an engineering degree, worked in the manufacturing field for a few years then had a change of heart and became passionate about subsistence living and meeting needs directly off one's land with one's family. I now have about a years' experience on various farms and homesteads from cattle ranch in Missouri to market gardens in New England. I also try to be well read on agriculture and farming philosophies and practices, from permaculture to agroecology, from Bill Mollison to Masanobu Fukuoka.
I believe there is one creator. I believe he reveals himself through his work - our reality/nature - from the sun and moon, the earth, to our own bodies. I also believe he further revealed himself through books, including but not necessarily limited to, the Old Testament, The Bible, and the Quran.
I am into learning valuable things and helping the world in some way wherever I am placed. I do not like to waste time, there's too much to do, people to help, and too many wrongs to right in the world.
